Divorce records are not Register of Wills records. Divorce is a civil and family Court of Common Pleas matter handled through the Chester County Prothonotary. The Prothonotary is the civil clerk for the Court of Common Pleas and handles civil complaints, judgments, liens, divorce filings, custody, protection-from-abuse civil filings, appeals, and certified civil docket or copy requests.
